A day by the sea
July
19 July 2019, on a stretch of the Adriatic coast. Between the first photograph, in the afternoon, and the last, late at night, eight hours went by.
In between, a ceremony on the beach and twenty-five minutes at the water’s edge as the light came down.
The afternoon begins in a room with the curtains drawn, more than two hours before the ceremony.

The ceremony was on the beach, under a tulle canopy with a sprig of lavender tied to the pole. Between the rings and the signature, seven minutes.

Then the shore, at the hour when the light drops and stops being harsh. We stayed there for twenty-five minutes.

In the evening, dinner among the candles and the party under lights strung in the trees: the part of the day when no one notices me any more.

Getting married by the sea?
Tell me the date and the place. I reply personally, within three hours during the Italian day, and I’ll tell you whether I’m free.
